From 2010 to 2022, the National Center for Competence in Research funded researchers from the top Swiss universities, supporting the development of a new generation of robots.
Filmed in Zurich, Geneva and Lugano, between research labs and real-life applications, the documentary reveals the significant milestones of robotics research, the small and large revolutions that have passed, and those that lie ahead.
Autonomous machines that save lives, helping humans in the most dangerous situations. Exoskeletons that repair the human body and support it in everyday activities. But also robots that help teachers make education more modern and inclusive.
From the most extreme situations to everyday life scenarios, robotic science will be increasingly present in our lives.
Following the stories of five leading scientists in the field, we will understand how robotics can make paralyzed people walk again, how nature can inspire the creation of robots that can rescue humans in disaster situations, and how drones can teach us something about our adaptability and resilience.
