Innovative technology that reaches new heights

Dive into the world of weather data with the world's leading provider, based in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Meteomatics is the world’s leading provider of weather information. The St. Gallen, Switzerland-based company is the leader in collecting the most accurate weather data in the world. Its scientists and specialists work continuously to optimize the use of data and provide accurate information for industry, commerce, and government. The accuracy of its weather forecasts helps the production of sustainable and renewable energy.

Meteomatics opts for videos to reinforce its new corporate image, as well as to clearly present the benefits the company offers to its customers and demonstrate the ease of its implementation processes. This strategy would allow them to easily and accurately communicate their business vision and the benefits of their products and services.

Incredible panoramas and testimonials document the benefits of using drones and their innovative technology to collect data, process data through their API, and Meteomatics’ constant drive to deliver data accurately and in real-time.

As technology evolves, we think videos should evolve with it. For this reason, we have designed a series that evolves with time. In other words, in addition to meeting communication needs, Meteomatics can, depending on their needs, update with more videos and more information.

We are exploring the many uses of drones in the fields of technology and the utility of weather drones for meteorological diagnostics. Since Meteomatics is a leader in collecting data for climate predictions and atmospheric phenomena, we wanted to showcase this precision that sets them apart.

Together, we determined that customers and employees of Meteomatics would describe their experiences to provide a more accurate and clearer picture of the small aircraft and information processing.

To show the full vision of Meteomatics, we created a series of five videos, each as an independent element but intertwined through its narrative structure. We proposed dynamic and enthusiastic audio that allows each process to be easily transmitted.

To realize the production plan, we moved to different locations which allowed us to achieve the goals of the video series.

The first location was ETH Zurich, where they used Meteomatics drones for experiments of cloud seeding to study the interaction between precipitation, clouds, and aerosols. There, specialists told us about aspects of their work and the experience of operating each aircraft, which allowed us to highlight the benefits of Meteomatics drones called “Meteodrones.”

For the second video, we were in the facilities of Sunflower Labs in Stallikon, a company that offers a radio security system based on a fully autonomous drone equipped with a camera capable of inspecting any part of a large commercial, industrial, or residential building.

In this production, we find out how the Meteodrones not only work in all kinds of weather conditions, but with Meteomatics and the application of its API, it is possible to access all the parameters required by the company, with high-frequency updates and short interval times.

For the production of the third video, we were in Bern, at the headquarters of BKW, a consulting company for the planning and implementation of gas and energy supplies.

They told us how their weeks-long wait to receive data for power demand analysis was shortened by using the Meteomatics API.

Of course, we couldn’t miss the Meteomatics headquarters in St. Gallen, where we were able to spend three days filming. We got to know the specialists and scientists up close and interviewed Martin Fengler, CEO of the company.

To help our clients maximize the potential of the budget, we optimize the production process by interviewing their work team to create additional employer branding videos to highlight the company’s values.

In the same way, we created versions with different durations, 5 minutes, 2 minutes, and 30 seconds, so they can be used in their different channels as needed.

From creative development to post-production, this project took 3 months. During this time we managed to capture the essence of Meteomatics, to structure the way of presenting the drone system, the monitoring process, and its contributions to the atmospheric measurements of temperature, humidity, and wind. In addition, we were able to highlight the company values through testimonials from customers and company professionals.
