When teenagers reach adolescence they face a new chapter full of challenges, doubts and opportunities: what path should they follow? What will their future be like? What career choice should they make? These moments of uncertainty are what we reflected in our new employer branding video for UBS.
While doing so, we invite young people to consider the Banking Entrance Programme for High School Graduates (BEM). Throughout this video, young people who are about to tackle a new challenge in their life at UBS are accompanied. First, a somewhat insecure young man is portrayed having a job interview at the bank. The target group can witness during the scene how the protagonist develops from a doubtful, shy boy to a self-confident, competent candidate, who is sure of his decision and ready to develop his skills at UBS.
Parallel to this, we get to know a young woman who takes up the challenge of reaching the top of a climbing wall. Through close-ups accompanied by powerful music, we show how she tries to achieve her goal with full concentration and dedication. The same dedication that is required on her way to a new and successful career at UBS. Furthermore, scenes in UBS’ classrooms capture how participants of the BEM are guided closely and how the potential newbies’ daily routine could look like.
The perspectives for young people at UBS are very diverse. And so are the opportunities they have to grow and develop professionally as well as personally. Before that, however, a decision has to be made – a first step towards an exiting uncertainty. To reflect this important moment, we show a young man at the shore of a lake. He starts running, gains momentum and finally jumps into the water. He has decided to accept the challenge and throws himself into a world full of possibilities of growth at UBS.
